Beyond the Show Ring: A Legacy of Giving

Pin Oak Charity Horse Show presents a $283,076 check to Texas Children’s Hospital
Pin Oak Charity Horse Show presents $283,076 to Texas Children’s Hospital on October 7, 2026

On October 7, Pin Oak Charity Horse Show proudly presented $283,076 to Texas Children’s Hospital, continuing eight decades of turning a passion for horses into hope for children and families.

As Texas Children’s first donor in 1947, Pin Oak helped fund the planning and construction of the hospital. Since then, our community’s generosity has supported the development of West Campus and The Woodlands hospitals, the Breathing & Exercise Lab, radiology renovations, the Cancer & Hematology Center at West Campus, and an endowed fund supporting a dedicated Sports Medicine fellow. We also fulfilled a $500,000 commitment to the Pin Oak Patient Family Playroom in Legacy Tower’s intensive care unit, providing comfort and connection for families during some of their most difficult days. These projects, and many more, reflect our enduring commitment to children and families.

Looking ahead to 2027, our focus is supporting behavioral health emergency care at Texas Children’s West Campus. The Katy Emergency Center sees approximately 15 behavioral health encounters every day: children and families facing crises who need compassionate care, safety, and support. This next chapter of giving will help address a critical need close to home.

Thank you to our sponsors, exhibitors, donors and volunteers for making this work possible. Together, we carry forward Pin Oak’s tradition of excellence and legacy of giving, creating an impact that reaches far beyond the show ring.
