Allison Kroff and T-Quick Hurricane Z are Unstoppable at the Pin Oak Charity Horse Show

April 2, 2026 – Katy, TX – Allison Kroff and T-Quick Hurricane Z have already earned three wins in two weeks here at the Pin Oak Charity Horse Show. On Wednesday they bested thirty-six other horse and rider combinations the $25,000 Pin Oak Grand Prix, sponsored by MTM Farm, winning by over a second in a lightning-fast time of 42.970 seconds. Martien Van Der Hoeven was biting at her heels, finishing in second and third.
Kroff and T-Quick Hurricane Z, the fourteen-year-old Zangersheide mare by Thunder Van De Zuuthoeve out of Quick Shakira and owned by TC Sport Horses LLC, have continued their winning streak here at Pin Oak. “She felt very game and ready. Coming in after last week it’s almost like I had to keep her at bay,” Kroff spoke of her first round. They were one of eleven teams to put in a clear first round over the track built by Oscar Soberon, qualifying for the jump off.
Coming into the jump off, ‘Fifi’s’ natural foot speed really paid off, “I think it was just her natural foot speed. I did seven up the first line like everyone else but she is just so quick across the ground and in the turns,” Kroff spoke of her jump off performance, “She knows the game and she loves playing it.”
Their partnership has developed a lot over time. “So we found her in Europe, it was during COVID. My friend Sebastian found her and thought she’d be a great match for me, and it’s just been incredible ever since,” Kroff spoke of their origin story. Patience, hard work, and focus on the details has been the name of the game for this duo, “I am so grateful for my sponsors, TC Sport Horses. They have allowed me to take my time with her, develop her, and now she’s a true winner. I spend a lot of time doing pole work, flat work, and transitions, just trying to keep her listening to every small aid that I use.”

Martien Van Der Hoeven and his impressive partner Chance Encounter, the eleven-year-old Oldenburg gelding by Clintissimo out of Luca and owned by Marlac Ventures I, jumped two great rounds, stopping the clock in 44.160s. Van Der Hoeven is a fan favorite at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center, and will be one to watch for tomorrow’s Grand Prix as well.

Van Der Hoeven rode PBC Equine Investments Inc.’s El Hosdi Van Beek Z, the ten-year-old Zangersheide gelding by El Salvador out of Hosdi Van Beek, to a picture perfect jump off round. They crossed the finish line in 44.736s, rounding out the podium.

Eight talented under twenty-five riders competed in the overlay during the Grand Prix for a chance at an additional $10,000 in prize money. Eleanor Rudnicki took the top two spots, winning with Quarter Van De Begijnakker and coming in second with Cici-Top. The future is bright for these up and coming young Grand Prix riders.
The $25,000 Pin Oak Grand Prix was sponsored by the MTM Farm, founded in 2014 by Tracy Fenney and Mike McCormick with a focus on importing young prospects, training and showing them, and ultimately selling their horses to new owners. MTM Farm has produced numerous champion show hunters and jumpers who have excelled at the top levels of the sport.
Kroff is looking forward to the Friday night Grand Prix, and the fans will be excited to watch her too, “It’s fun. The crowd is always great here so no matter if I’ve won a few in a row or am coming off of not winning any it’s always the same pressure and always wanting to do great for my horses.”
