Allison Kroff is Quick Through the Finish Line in the Welcome at the Pin Oak Charity Horse Show

March 25, 2026 – Katy, TX – Allison Kroff is a familiar face here at the Pin Oak Charity Horse Show and she has already earned herself a win in the $10,000 Smith Equine Performance Welcome Stake aboard her trusty partner, T-Quick Hurricane Z, a fourteen-year-old Zangersheide mare by Thunder Van De Zuuthoeve out of Quick Shakira.
Kroff and “Fifi” were the 15th out of 18 entries to take on the first-round course designed by Chris Jones, and following the immediate jump-off format, they were the penultimate combination to jump off, setting the time to beat at 39.01 seconds. The mare’s incredible foot speed worked to their advantage, “She is such a sporty mare. She has turned out to love the game. She loves the sport. She comes and is such a fighter and even today in the jump off I thought ‘Just let her go,’ because she loves going fast.”
Kroff was beaming after her win, reflecting on her partnership with this great mare, “T-Quick Hurricane Z is a fourteen-year-old mare I have had for quite some time. We got her in Europe and have had her for four years. My owners, TC Sport Horses LLC, have been great supporters of mine, allowing me to take her in these classes and we’ve been partners for four years in the Grands Prix.”

Martien Van Der Hoeven, another regular here at the Great Southwest Equestrian Center, galloped with Kingshallah, the eleven-year-old KWPN gelding by Inshallah De Muze out of Buretti Stijnbergen, into second, crossing the timers in 39.920 seconds. This pairing is still fairly new, but they have been knocking on the door all season and will be one to watch during the next two weeks here.
Rounding out the top three, third-place honors went to Brandon Howard and S & L Cesam, who delivered a double-clear effort in a time of 40.508 seconds.
This evening’s class also included a $5,000 U25 Welcome, run concurrently. Emory Simpson and her own Fantasia D’Elle, an eleven-year-old Selle Francais mare by Urano De Cartigny out of Girouette D’Elle stole the win as the only under twenty-five combination to jump clear in the first round.
This class was sponsored by Smith Equine Performance – where advanced veterinary care and expert rehabilitation come together. Recover stronger. Perform longer. Smith Equine Performance – building better athletes.
Kroff and T-Quick Hurricane Z have a great history here at the Pin Oak show series, including quite a few Welcome wins, and they’ll be one to keep an eye on in the Main Ring the rest of the week. Thursday we’ll enjoy the $25,000 Pin Oak Charity Grand Prix, as well as a $10,000 U25 overlay, beginning at 4:00 PM.
