YPOC Polo Rides Again

The Young Pin Oak Club kicked off the 2011-2012 membership season with their annual Polo Party at the Cowboy Cup held at The Houston Polo Club on Oct. 16, 2011. As in previous years the weather was sunny and warm, perfect for an afternoon of sipping and nibbling under the YPOC private tent while watching the ponies race up and down the field. New this year was the addition of a Best Hat Contest. A Fascinator worn by Carli Kirsch took home the honors, but a variety of beautiful headware on the ladies and men lent a regal air and looked perfectly suited to the decorated tables, mounds of flowers and delicious food and beverages. Thanks to generous sponsors,  members were able to attend the match for free by joining or renewing their membership. A record number of members and guests enjoyed this beautiful event designed by Amanda Dougherty and Alexis Orf, YPOC Co-Chairs.
